Moles are those raised black, brown or red raised pustules which are mostly not painful but may decrease a person’s self esteem as they damage the appearance of a clean and clear skin. Moles may spread from one to many or remain as such for many years. A mole may be present on any part of your body like face, arms, chest and legs.

Mostly moles are not dangerous but they should be checked for presence of cancerous cells as some red moles may give rise to mole cancers. It should be examined properly. Pictures of skin moles should be taken by the physician every time it is examined so that they can be compared to detect changes. Some acid containing lotions may also be recommended by your physician which actually burn the mole, dry it and cause it to fall off. Shaving or rubbing causes injury and does not remove it.
